Jim Connor

Passed away peacefully 7th August 2021 aged 81 years

It is with deep regret that I am sending this message to notify Past Students of Marist College, Rosalie of the passing of our fellow student and friend Jim Connor.

Jim was the Cherished husband of Patricia (Pat) Loved Father and Father-In-law of Michelle (deceased) Bradley and Helen, Blair and Kate, Marnie.

Adored Grandfather Joshua Avery Trinity Raphael Jacob and Alexia.

Will be dearly missed by his sister Marie and all friends and relatives

Jim grew up in Enoggera Terrace, Paddington where his family operated a corner store.  He attended Primary school before commencing his education at Marist College, Rosalie in the very early 1950’s before graduating at Senior level in 1957.

Jim was an outstanding cricket player and was a member of the 1956 TAS champion team which included some exceptional players.

In the days when Rosalie promoted Boxing as a sport Jim was a very skilled pugilist going on to win a Queensland championship.

During his work career Jim worked as a Financial Advisor.

Jim remained lifelong friends with some of the Old Boys.

Jim will be sadly missed.

Due to government restrictions a private service was held.

At a future time, a day of remembrance to celebrate his life will be honoured.
