Special Annoucement
The Marist Rosalie Old Boys’ Association announced in 2023/2024 that the sponsorship for Jerseys played in The Rosalie Tribute game on McMahon Oval, Ashgrove would continue into its 15th year in 2025. The Jerseys that will be worn will be the White Knight Jerseys first used by the Rosa 1st. XV in 1968 and continued until the school closed in 2008.
From 1968 until 2008 there were at least three variations to the White Knights Jersey and the first used did not display the Rosalie College Crest on Jersey; it showed a Red Rose.
In 2025 Paul Stirling, Rosalie College and 1st. XV Captain for 1976 organised cohorts from 1972 to 1976 to donate money for the cost of the 2025 Jerseys.
We will also be providing socks and shorts to be worn by the players and the complete outfit to be worn in the match is displayed below: –
JERSEYS
In 2020, the MROBA raised funds for your association pay for the Jerseys used up to and including 2024.
Many of you purchased a supporter’s Jersey and it was a pleasurable moment to see the Ashgrove 1st. XV run onto the main oval in our school colours. Watching was many of our Old Boys and supporters wearing their Cerise and Blue Jerseys and even some wearing the White Knight’s Jerseys.
You will have the opportunity to purchase a White Knight’s Jersey identical to that worn by the Players in the Rosalie Tribute game.
The supporters Jerseys are identical to the Players Jerseys. The fabric is called flexi fit which is snugger than the older type jerseys. It will be your responsibility to decide which size is best for you.
We will only be offering the supporter’s Jersey in a short sleeve and not long sleeve.
POLO SHIRT
We are also offering a Polo Shirt as an alternative to the Supporter’s Jerseys. Both garments have identical design and colouring. The polo shirt will be offered with short sleeves and WILL NOT have the option of players name and number on the reverse.
Some of our members may prefer a lighter garment which could be worn casually all year round. The fabric will be lighter and like almost any polo shirt. This shirt would be more conducive to our warmer climate especially in the summer months.
